Some of you may be wondering "OK, I get that I can import my contacts from my CRM or email program into Ace of Sales, which is fantastic! But HOW exactly do I do that?"
The key is to make sure the Contacts file you get from your CRM or email program is exported into the right format as a CSV (comma separated values) file from the get-go. Follow these steps:
First – Export from Outlook
1. Go to File > Import and Export > Export to a File. Click Next.
2. Select "Comma Separated Values (Windows)".
3. Choose the Contacts folder and click Next.
4. Select where to save the CSV file (preferably your desktop, which it should automatically know to do) and rename the file or use the name Outlook fills in for you (the part of the file name between the "\" and ".csv"). Click Next and then click Finish.
Then – Import into Ace of Sales
1. In Ace of Sales, click Contacts, then click Import/Export.
2. On the left side of the screen under "Import" choose
"CSV (.csv) or vCard (.vcf)".
3. Click "Choose File" and select the file you just exported.
Click Continue.
4. Choose to import your contacts into a Group, or just import them straight into your main Contacts list. Click Continue.
5. Ace of Sales will import your contacts! If there are any problems, Ace of Sales provides a link on this screen to a report. (Common problems are that an email address may be in an incorrect format, like not contain an "@" symbol, or first and last names were not placed into separate columns in the original CSV file).
6. Click Finish.

I wish there is a sync between Outlook and Ace of Sales, as we add new contacts into Outlook it would be great if the same get's synced into Ace of Sales.
Thanks,
Adi
I completely agree Adi! I have so many contacts in Outlook and would rather not have to enter the contact twice or import over and over.
We hear you loud and clear! This is an important feature for many of our customers. It's one of our top priorities.
A sync to Apple is needed, too! Thanks and happy holidays!
How about some method to easily take contact info from Sales Force . com?
I would like to see that you can import more than 2 mb. My file is 6MB for outlook. Also syncing with my outlook and also Apple would be awesome. I have to cancel my membership now because of the file issue. I don't understand how that can not be a quick fix.
Andy. The thread above states that Outlook syncing is a priority. Can you give us an update on when that functionality will be available. Will emails be synced too? I do so much with calendaring etc., that it seems like your product would be more enticing if integrated into Outlook.
Have you though about the capability to just add a contact when you are in the process of composing the Ace of Sales Email Greeting? I hate how when I am trying to compose a quick greeting, and I don't have the contact aleady entered....that I have to go back out of the greeting, go into contacts, add the contact, then wait until it shows up in the list, then go BACK into the email greeting and continue composing.
Christina, We completely agree. You should be able to add a contact while creating your email. We absolutely are working on adding that plus a lot more to the email composer process to make it easier for you. Look for it when we roll out our mobile friendly version in our big next release. - Andy Horner, Chief Architect
