Import Your Contacts from Salesforce into Ace of Sales

Here's how to import your contacts from Salesforce.com.

1. Open Salesforce and click the Contacts tab.

2. Under Reports, click "Mailing List".

3. Next to Preview choose “Tabular Format” and click Tabular.

4. Click "Run Report".

5. Click the "Export Details" button.

6. On the next screen, next to “Export File Format”, choose “Comma Delimited .csv”. (Do not change the “Export File Encoding” setting.) Safari users for Mac - choose "Excel Format .xls", then after the file is exported to your computer, open it and resave it as a CSV file.

7. Click Export.

8. Salesforce will save the file to your computer.

9. Import your CSV file into Ace of Sales by clicking the Contacts tab, then clicking “Import Contacts”, then "Generic CSV or vCard" and choosing your Salesforce file.

I get how to import data from Salesforce. How does Ace of Sales run side by side with Salesforce and how do you then keep up with your Ace of Sales Data in Salesforce? I am sold if I can get this answered first. Thanks!

Hi! I agree with Tim. How does Ace of Sales run side by side or connects with Salesforce? Do I have to keep the both open at all times.. LOL.. maybe if you develop a salesforce exchange app with this in mind will be awesome.. imagine all the existing customers on salesforce.. uff?

So any answers? Thanks!

Tim and Joe,

Currently, You would have to import your Salesforce.com contacts into Ace of Sales and yes it would require that you use them in two different screens. But keep in mind, we just launched a couple months ago...and though we plan to be the best sales tool on the planet it may take a couple more. Expect syncing tools like an appexchange app, CRM syncing with products like Highrise, and Outlook plug-ins soon. We're on it.

Hey folks-any progress on exporting Ace of Sales data to Salesforce.com. I like the Ace of Sales tool and allowed one of my folks to use it but we use salesforce for two many things to have a one off?
